We thought about what to write in our introduction, and we decided what better way to introduce you to our restaurant than simply posting one of our reviews from the Houston Press?
"Although it bills itself as serving "Portuguese and Angolan" cuisine, Portugallia serves a predominantly Portuguese menu for now and one that's more Americanized than you'd expect. It's also much nicer than you'd expect: The glassed-in dining room and plant-filled patio are both ideal for a nice evening out. On many nights, you'll find live music in the form of crooning, suited-up songsters (which pairs well with its strong happy hour cocktails). The arroz de mariscos and pork cutlets are both excellent, but so are homier and less expensive options like the caldo verde with kale and chouriço."
